Cooper’s Cave
Glens Falls, NY 12801
Cooper's Cave is located under Cooper’s Cave Bridge between South Glens Falls and Glens Falls.

The cave was made famous by James Fenimore Cooper’s novel The Last of the Mohicans. Visit the hiding site of Hawkeye and his companions where they attempted their escape. There is a viewing platform with interpretive signage. The cave is part of the New York State’s historic independent trail.

The cave is open Memorial Day through Columbus Day and admission is free. Group tours must be arranged in advance of visit by calling (518) 761-3864.
